Joyful Noise Studios is a creative music hub and recording studio in Merrimack, New Hampshire, built for artists, bands, songwriters, producers, and creators who want to make records that sound like themselves. Founded by producer and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Ordway and vocalist, songwriter, and vocal coach Michelle Ordway, the studio brings together custom music production, professional recording and engineering, songwriting programs, and hands-on education under one roof.

Music production at Joyful Noise Studios is never one-size-fits-all. Whether an artist arrives with a voice and an acoustic guitar, a finished demo that needs to be brought to life, or a full band ready to make a record, each project is built around the song and the vision. Production can range from capturing an intimate live performance to building a complete track from the ground up — including arrangement, instrumentation, pre-production, recording, editing, and creative direction. As a multi-instrumentalist, Ryan contributes guitar, bass, keys, vocals, and additional instrumentation when the song calls for it, and every project is quoted individually based on scope.

Beyond the control room, Joyful Noise Studios is a working community for music makers. Studio A Residency offers experienced engineers and producers dedicated, self-operated access to a professional recording environment. Producer Labs membership gives students and working creators structured training and workstation time, while songwriting programs, session player lessons, Nashville-style songwriter rounds, podcast and video production, and youth and adult music education make the studio a place to grow as well as to record.

The studio serves artists across New England and welcomes remote collaboration. With a philosophy rooted in authenticity, mentorship, and creative community, Joyful Noise Studios is a place where songs find their sound and where artists at every level can develop their craft in a supportive, professional environment.
